Airbrush Fun!

Image
Hi! It’s been tremendously hot here in the UK, so hobbying has kind of taken a back seat. I don’t feel well in the heat because of my Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS) - my autonomic nervous system just can’t take it. In order to scratch my hobby itch, I’ve cracked out the airbrush! I did a Drukhari Raider! I had so much fun doing this! Today, my friend Heretic Deb over at  Black Hand Marines  came over! We had delicious veggie pizza from Domino’s and did some painting! She kindly donated me a Chaos Space Marine and taught me how to do layering and Non Metallic Metals (NMM). I had a ton of fun and I can’t wait to hang out again. Here is my marine and thanks for reading! The first model for the Tale of Warlords.

I had a load of fun painting up this Incubi! I’m taking part in a Tale of Warlords style thing and I’ve chosen to do Dark Eldar. I’ve always been drawn to the Incubi every time I’ve seen them so I thought why not start off my force with some? There has been no paint mixing for this - every colour has been out of the pot. I wanted it that way for simplicity and also for consistency, I didn’t want to accidentally mix a shade too light or dark one time and have to replicate it on the others.  I will do another blog post about how to do the bases, but basically I wanted to get an effect of magical energy escaping through the cracks in the ground. I think it worked out really well! I’d love some feedback, so feel free to leave a comment. Thanks for reading! ~ Paints used: Incubi: Scalecolor Fantasy & Games Innsmouth Blue (SFG-46) Scalecolor Negro Gold (SC-71) Scalecolor Black Metal (SC-63) Scalecolor Fantasy & Games Bloodfest Crimson (SFG-11...

Hello!

Hi! This is my first blog post. I will be keeping this blog for painting, modelling and wargaming purposes but also to give you all a peek into my life.  Yesterday I painted up a test model for my Drukhari (Dark Eldar).  What do you think?  Thanks for reading, Rhiannon.
